Short answer: Mexerica is a free app that gives you a team of AI agents led by one bot, Berga. You talk to Berga; Berga hands the work to specialized bots, follows up and brings back one answer, with anything sensitive waiting for your yes. It runs on your own computers with the Claude, ChatGPT or other AI plan you already pay for.

What is Mexerica?

An app for running a business with AI agents as the team. Each bot has a job (sales, inbox, hiring, expenses, coding, accounts, paid media, support, or one of your own), a memory of its own, the apps it is allowed to use and, if you want, its own WhatsApp number. Berga, the leader, coordinates them.

It is built for business owners and small teams, not only engineers. Mexerica is made by Guilherme Vasques Ltda in Brazil. The name is the fruit: small, sweet, easy to peel, and made of segments that come apart and fit back together, like a team.

How do the bots work?

  • Berga leads. You write to Berga. He splits the request, gives each bot its part, checks progress and answers you once.
  • Berga builds the team. Describe a job in plain words and Berga proposes a bot: engine, instructions and only the access it needs. You create it, edit it first or discard it.
  • Each bot remembers. Explain something once and the bot keeps it. You pick how it learns: on its own, by suggesting first, or not at all.
  • Skills write themselves. Show a task once and the bot saves the steps as a skill. It suggests improvements; you approve them.
  • Routines run on their own, on a schedule, a webhook, a new message or a change the bot watches.
  • Apps connect bot by bot: more than 1,200 apps (Gmail, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Stripe, GitHub and more) and any MCP server. Everything starts off.
  • Every bot can have its own WhatsApp. Messages from outside are marked as outside content and never give the bot orders.

What needs your approval?

You set it per bot. Sensitive actions, such as sending, paying or publishing, ask first. A request is a card with the exact action; your yes covers that one call with those values, and if anything changes, the bot asks again. A bot stuck in a loop or stalled stops on its own, and Pause all stops the whole team. Requests reach you in the app and on WhatsApp.

Which AI does it use?

Mexerica has no model of its own and needs no API key. Bots think with the agent tools already set up on your computer: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Grok, OpenCode or Pi, plus more than 18 other agents that speak ACP. That means your Claude or ChatGPT plan at home, or your company's AI gateway at work. The app never sees your password. When a plan hits its limit, the bot waits for it to reset; it never switches to a paid API on its own.

Where does it run?

On Windows, Mac and Linux computers, with phone apps for iOS and Android. You can connect as many computers as you want; the same bot runs on each, with the same memory. Commands run on an isolated Linux unless you choose to hand a bot your own computer.

What isn't Mexerica?

  • A model provider. It uses the AI plans and engines you already have.
  • A workflow builder. You ask in plain words; the bots work out the steps within your rules.
  • A cloud that keeps your data. Conversations, memory, files and bots stay on your computer or server.
  • Paid software. It is free to use, with no locked features.

How does Mexerica handle data?

The Hub keeps conversations, memory, skills and files on your equipment, and keeps keys and app credentials in an encrypted vault protected by the operating system. Traffic between your devices, computers and Hub is end-to-end encrypted. The app sends no usage telemetry. Personal data is not sold, and your content is never used to train models.
